Hello, I’m Siân Forster and together with my husband Pete we started Motherwear after having our first baby, Eleanor. During my pregnancy, I battled to find good quality, stylish maternity wear that was also comfortable and practical. I made it through my pregnancy with one pair of jeans, my combat trousers and a couple of t-shirts - and I had to travel an hour each way to buy them! Once Eleanor was born, the problem became even worse – finding tops that made it easy to breastfeed was a nightmare! And because Eleanor was my first child, I had no experience and no idea what to look for and what to avoid. I ended up buying a shapeless t-shirt with a row of poppers across the front. Not very practical or discreet and not at all flattering! I mean, who wants to sit and press together a dozen studs when they’ve finished feeding?! When Eleanor was about a month old, my sister recommended I get a baby sling. We bought a Moby Wrap and it was fantastic, Eleanor loved it. I only wish we’d found it sooner.

My time-wasting frustration ultimately led to our idea to provide an online shop that sold all these things and more. After a global search, I've put together a collection of flattering maternity and nursing wear - all tried and tested and without a popper in sight!
